What can you expect?

Visiting a new dentist for the first time can always be a bit daunting. At Hampshire Dentists in Southampton, we do our best to put you at ease, with our relaxed and friendly welcome.

We will ask you lots of questions. We want to know about you, your lifestyle, habits and any concerns (no matter how minor). These details are just as important as the physical checks we do.

We’ll ask about your:

Health history
Lifestyle
Home care routine
Smile concerns

Thorough checks

We will gently complete all the checks needed to make sure everything is healthy and strong. We’ll examine your facial structures, jaw joint, muscles, lips, tongue, cheeks, throat. This includes screening for oral cancer.

We’ll check:

Your teeth
Your gum health
Your jaw joint and surrounding muscles
For any signs of tooth wear

After this rigorous assessment, we will provide you with a personalised treatment plan with in-depth recommendations, information and advice.

We are committed to working with you to finalise a treatment plan that meets your specific needs and goals.

Together, our aim is to achieve long-term dental fitness, enhancing both the appearance and function of your smile.

We are taking on new patients

Your first Dental Health Check is £112 and includes diagnostic X-Rays to assess bone levels and to check the teeth for any hidden decay. (The good news is that subsequent routine check-ups thereafter are £55).
