No, we take every measure to ensure your extraction is as pain-free as possible. We use topical anaesthetic gel, pre-warmed local anaesthetic, and slow injection techniques to minimize discomfort. For anxious patients, sedation options are available.
1.You’ll be given a local anaesthetic to make the procedure painless. You will still feel pressure.
2. Once you’re comfortable we gently loosen your tooth before we remove it. At this point you may hear some funny noises, this is completely normal.
3. Once the tooth is removed your gum may bleed for a few minutes, we will give you a piece of soft padding to bite on to stop the bleeding before you go home. Sometimes we may need to put a small dissolvable stitch into your gum to help the empty socket to heal.
4. We will give you some advice and information about how to look after the site over the next few days.
