Multiple teeth implants
A sensible solution to replace missing teeth, more affordable that you might expect
*Pain free* dentistry on Southampton High Street
Replacing multiple teeth doesn’t always require a one-to-one ratio of implants. By carefully considering your treatment plan, we can strategically place a few implants to support anything from two teeth to an entire jaw. Not only does this approach minimise surgical procedures, but it can also be more cost-effective.

Missing back teeth
These gaps can force patients to smile less broadly and dramatically affect chewing ability

Worn down front teeth
When back teeth are missing the front teeth are required to take more pressure during chewing, which can cause them to wear down and weaken overtime.

Building a strong foundation
If necessary, we can provide additional treatment and support to ensure your implant is stable and built to last.
Implants need solid bone around them to stay put. When you lose a natural tooth, your bone in that area starts to change, getting smaller in height and width. We keep an eye on your jaw bone during our detailed assessments and have some customised solutions up our sleeve to ensure your new implant has the support it needs.
Guide bone regeneration
If you’re missing bone or need extra support, we can provide guided bone regeneration to help build up the bone where it’s needed.

Sinus lift
Your sinuses are little pockets of air in your skull next to your nose. They’re right above where your upper back teeth used to be. If there’s not enough bone there, we might need to complete a sinus lift to make more room for successful implant treatment

Losing a natural tooth can lead to more than just a gap in your smile; it can cause the surrounding bone to remodel, eventually leading to sunken cheeks, an older appearance, and added difficulty in replacing the missing teeth.
The patient below was determined to avoid these changes. By opting for a sinus lift and bone grafting, they were able to create a strong foundation for an implant-retained bridge on the upper right, restoring their smile, function and confidence.

Immediate multiple teeth implants
Placement of dental implants immediately after the extraction of a tooth/teeth, in the same appointment.
It’s quick and convenient, cutting down on both treatment time and the number of visits you’ll need.
But for this to work smoothly, a few things need to line up just right.
- Your jawbone has to be strong enough to support the implant(s)
- There can’t be any infections lurking around the extraction site as this can compromise the healing process
If your implant has settled snugly into the bone, we can go ahead and slip on a temporary crown or bridge. This means you can step into our dental practice with a troublesome tooth/ teeth and leave shortly after with a shiny new implant tooth/ teeth in its place.
The temporary tooth/ teeth will blend seamlessly with your natural smile and stay firmly put until your implant has fully bonded, allowing us to swap it out for the permanent crown or bridge down the road.
That’s where having an experienced pro on your side becomes crucial. An experienced dentist can assess whether immediate implant placement is the right call for you. We’ll pick out the perfect implant(s), make sure they’re the right fit and handle any bumps in the road that might pop up during or after the procedure. With our expertise, you’re giving yourself the best shot at a successful implant and a smile that lasts.
The treatment process

Explore your options
Meet with our Treatment Coordinator to chat about your smile goals and how we can help. We can meet in person at our Southampton practice, or we can talk over the phone or Zoom if you prefer.

Comprehensive clinical consultation
Meet with our implantologist, Dr Robin Hanna, for a comprehensive assessment. We’ll take a close look at your mouth, teeth, and gums to see if implants are right for you. This might involve X-rays, photos, CT scans to make a detailed plan.

Careful planning
We’ll plan exactly where the implants will go to make sure they look and work their best. This helps us avoid surprises later on and gives you a clear picture of what to expect, including any extra treatments you might need and how much everything will cost.
Take your time to think it over and ask any questions you have.

Surgery day
On the big day, we’ll make sure you’re comfortable and numb before we start. We might need to remove teeth or do minor bone adjustments. If everything goes well, we can put in the implant itself and we might even be able to give you a temporary tooth/ teeth right away.

Your new teeth
Once the implants are strong and stable, we’ll fit your custom-made permanent bridge. It’s designed to fit perfectly and look great, so you can enjoy your new smile for years to come.
