Our commitment to exploring all the options
At Hampshire Dentists, we understand the importance of accessible dental services for everyone. Our team is dedicated to helping patients navigate their options to achieve the smile they desire. As an independent private practice we cannot provide you with NHS treatment directly however we are absolutely happy to help you explore your NHS eligibility, consider private treatment, or alternative funding options. We are here to guide you through it all, ensuring you feel supported throughout the process.
Dental Implants on the NHS
Yes, technically dental implants are available on the NHS, but there’s a catch. The criteria for getting dental implants on the NHS is extremely limited. Due to high demand and limited funding, the NHS has to prioritise the most severe cases. This typically includes patients who need serious reconstructions due to major trauma, are dealing with oral cancers, or have severe congenital conditions. In fact even if you are suffering from one of these conditions you still may be declined. Royal College of Surgeon guidelines state that all conventional tooth replacement options must be explored first and deemed unsuccessful.
For most of us, this means we don’t qualify for Dental Implants on the NHS.
Don’t settle for gaps
Living with missing teeth, uncomfortable dentures, or bridgework isn’t just inconvenient—it can affect your overall health and confidence. Here’s why dental implants are the best option:
- Natural look and feel: dental implants look and feel just like your natural teeth. They integrate with your jawbone, providing a secure and stable fit.
- Long-lasting solution: unlike dentures or bridges, which may need to be replaced or adjusted regularly, implants are a long-term solution that can last a lifetime with proper care.
- Preserve your jawbone: missing teeth can lead to bone loss in your jaw. Implants help stimulate the bone, preventing deterioration and maintaining your facial structure.
- Comfort and convenience: no more worrying about dentures slipping or dealing with messy adhesives. Implants stay securely in place, allowing you to eat, speak and smile with confidence.
Financing your treatment
We get it – dental work can be expensive. That’s why at Hampshire Dentists, we offer flexible, interest-free finance options to help spread the cost. There are also some charitable organisations out there that can help cover dental treatment costs for people facing financial difficulties or with certain medical conditions. These aren’t run by the government, but they can sometimes provide the extra support you need.
